I'm very interested in a B2710, however I'm 6"4" 260 lbs and find the tractor very uncomforable. The seat seems to lean forward and is very uncomfortable. The seat on a L3010 goes back farther and reclines and is very comfortable.Looking at the B2710 seat it looks as if it can be modified to go back further along with shortening of the seat springs. Has anyone come across this problem? The machine fits all my needs except for this seating issue. Everyone who ownes one of these can't be 5'8" tall?? I don't really have any problem with getting a L3010 except it is just physically larger than I need and in reality I do not believe it can do that much more work to ofset the size. Any comments on the L3010 would be appreciated if I have to go that route.(4x4, hydro, turfs, loader)

SJ, I'm a fraction of an inch under 6 feet tall, 200 lbs., and my brother is 6' 3", 175 lbs., and we both love the B2710, BUT I very firmly believe if it doesn't "feel" right, don't buy it. If it isn't comfortable to start with, it'll feel even worse as time goes on. As far as modifying the seat on the B2710, I've looked at mine and it appears possible to move it back no more than an inch or inch and a half, and of course, if you shorten the springs, it might seem like a very hard seat. Good luck with your shopping. ....

S.J. Heard of a new model B-Series tractor coming out soon,a B2910.Don't know any specs about the the seat, but will have a telescoping steering wheel, similar to L-Series,29 H.P.,on the same frame as the B2710.I would think with the ability to adjust the steering wheel, this might also help a little with the leg room.I'm a flat 6'tall and have no problems on my 2710.I previously owned a B2150 and I guess I'm so happy with the flatter platform on the 2710,the seating has not been a concern of mine.I find the seat to be very comfortable, especially with the folding arm rests. But I know everybodies rear-end is a little differant. So don't settle for something that just does'nt feel right.Good luck, and if your not in a big toot, the 2910 might just be worth waiting for,if nothing else, just to check out the seating. ....

I can appreciate your dilema, SJ. I'm 6' 3" and 225 pounds and found the B2100 and the B2710 too small and quite uncomfortable during short demo rides at the dealer. Not just the seat, but the pedals seemed to be "out of place" (to me). Not to badmouth these two models -- they are both outstanding in their class, have an excellent reputation and would have been adequate (power wise) for my needs. However, they just didn't fit right. I figured that this situation was not going to improve with the maturing process, so I bought a new L3010 HST. I have no regrets. The only possible drawback I can envision with the L3010 is that it may be too big for really tight spots. Otherwise, it is a significant step up in capability and comfort! ....
